Built for the sessions you cannot sit through twice

The problem

The notes never get written up

The session ends, the evening fills up, and the recording sits on your phone unplayed until the exam.

1.

Hours lost writing it up

You went to the class to learn it, not to spend the evening typing it out again.

2.

Half a page of notes

You cannot listen properly and write properly at the same time. One of them always loses.

3.

Audio you never replay

A two-hour voice memo is not revision. Nobody has ever scrubbed back through one.

The solution

Let it write the first draft

Capito sits through the whole session, then hands back what you would have written yourself, if you had had a spare hour and perfect recall.

  1. Step 1

    Record it, or upload it

Press record in the browser tab you already have open: no install, no meeting bot to invite. Or hand it audio you recorded somewhere else and skip the microphone entirely. Either way it lands in the same place.

  2. Step 2

    It writes everything up

The moment you stop, it starts. It titles the recording from what was said, files it under the right subject, and works through the transcript while you are still walking to the next thing.

  3. Step 3

    Revise from it

Notes to read, cards to drill, and every word still there behind them. Have a go on the real thing: switch tabs, flip a card, or click into the notes and fix a term it misheard.

    KEY POINTS
    • Electrophilic addition runs through whichever carbocation is more stable.
    • The proton goes to the carbon already carrying the most hydrogens.
    • Peroxides reverse it, and HBr adds anti-Markovnikov instead.
    DEFINITIONS

Regioselectivity — which of two possible positions a reagent adds to, when the molecule offers it a choice.

    OPEN QUESTIONS
    • Does the peroxide effect apply to HCl and HI as well, or only HBr?

Never press record again

Tell Capito when your classes are, once. Each one starts and stops on its own and lands in that subject’s folder.

  1. 1

    Add your classes

Type them in, or upload a screenshot of your timetable and let Capito read it for you.

  2. 2

    Leave the tab open

Background is fine. Recording starts on time and stops when the class ends, whether or not you remembered.

  3. 3

    The notes are there after

Transcribed, written up, turned into a deck, and filed under the right subject without you touching it.

Secure

Nobody else is listening

Your recordings are the most personal thing here. They are treated that way.

Private by default

Every recording is scoped to your account. Nothing you record is made public, ever.

The audio does not linger

The moment your transcript is ready, the recording itself is deleted for good. We keep the words, not the audio.

Delete it whenever

Remove a single recording, or your whole account and everything in it, from the dashboard.

Frequently asked
questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. Capito runs in the browser you already have open. The first time you record, the browser asks for microphone permission, and that is the whole setup. Already have the recording? Upload the file instead and skip the microphone entirely.

Can Capito record an online class?

Not from inside the call, no. Capito records through your microphone, and browsers deliberately cancel out sound coming from your own speakers, so pointing it at a Zoom or Teams window will not capture the audio. Do it the other way round instead: record the class in the meeting app itself, or download the recording afterwards, and upload that file to Capito. An uploaded recording is transcribed and written up exactly like one made live. In a room, where the sound reaches your microphone through the air, recording directly works as normal.

How long can a recording be?

Anything from five minutes upwards. Below that there is not enough to work with, and nothing shorter is charged for either. Above it, record for as long as the session runs, a two-hour lecture is an ordinary day.

Do I have to do anything while it is recording?

No, and that is rather the point. If you do want to type something while it listens, that gets folded into what comes back, but nothing is lost if you never touch the keyboard.

What if it mishears a technical term?

You fix it once. The notes open in an editor that saves as you type, so a corrected term stays corrected.

How do the flashcards keep score?

You flip through the deck and mark what you knew. The score moves with you, so it tells you whether the material has stuck, not merely whether you have read it again.

Will I still find a recording months later?

Recordings are titled automatically from what was said and grouped by how recent they are, and search runs across everything you have ever recorded.

Do I need to be there for a scheduled class to record?

Yes. Capito records through your device, so it has to be in the room with the tab open. What the timetable saves you is pressing record, remembering to stop, and filing the result, not attending.

How much does Capito cost?

Capito is free to start: every new account gets 2 hours of recording, with no card and no trial timer. After that you buy hours in one-off packs from ₹50 for 1 hour to ₹799 for 25 hours. There is no subscription, hours never expire, and the notes, flashcards and transcript are never charged for separately.

The whole point

Walk out of the room having understood it

Sit through the session once, properly, and let the rest of it write itself.
